Specific Detail Info | Coca Cola Bottling Indonesia (CCBI), Pandaan Plant produces several products such as Coca Cola (CON), Fanta (FNT), Sprite (SPT) and Frestea. The warehouse for storing the product is divided into five areas. These are: Returned Glass Bottle (RGB), One Way, Buffer, Quarantine and Full Good. Products residing in RGB area are 200ml CON, 200ml FNT, 200ml SPT, 220 Frestea, 295 CON, 295 FNT, and 295 SPT. Warehouse and Transportation department (W&T) uses random storage policy. With this policy, there is a problem to store empty bottles in a proper space. Simulation approach is used in this research because of the system complexity. Initial model is used to mimic real system while improvement scenario is used to implement ABC Classification storage policy in the RGB area. Classifications using ABC is used for improvement scenario. Fastest moving item is placed in the nearest storage space from unloading area which had a proper space. Truck waiting time parameter is used to compare between initial model and improvement model. Based on the comparison, the improvement model had a smaller truck waiting time than the initial model. Keywords: Storage Policy, Simulation, ABC Classification |
