Specific Detail Info | Recently, the development of industry and technology is growing fast in many areas as well as in manufacturing industry. Although many industries is recently making some changes with automation, the facts shows that there were many industries is still using manual work as a part of a whole production activities. PT. Philips Indonesia, is one of the leading manufacturing Industry in Indonesia, and manual work is still implemented in PT. Philips Indonesia until nowadays. Based on the first observation to PT. Philips Indonesia, many problems are faced by this manufacturing industry, one of them are productivity. Productivity is one of the main important method to reduce cost while maintaining a good quality of the product. In terms of improving the productivity and to measure the economical analysis in the packaging area, a few analysis are defined by Big Picture Mapping ang the Root Cause Analysis to to prove existing condition. Since it is proved that the existing condition is needed to be improved, the supporting equipments and a few tools location are rearranged in a good order. By using the alternatives given, supporting equipment analysis has proven a decrease in the amount of the Normal Time, Standard Time and an increase of the Output Standard. The existing condition shows an optimum worker of 2 in each production line. In the productivity analysis this is an increasing fact. But the supporting equipment analysis of optimum workers showed that a reducement has to be done, because after the supporting equipment is realized, the extra worker is not needed. The standard output has also increased up to 64,20% to 84,54%. The improvement of supporting equipment has provided a number of supporting equipment alternatives that can be used by the company.
