Abstract/Notes | Lamongan is one of the regency located on the north coast of East Java, it has long coastline along 47 km. Lamongan also located in the national strategic position that is included in Gerbangkertosusila. Realize of potential Lamongan in their maritime sector, Ministry of Industry Indonesia and East Java Government agreed to establish the northern region of Lamongan Regency especially in Brondong sub-regency as a special economic area for maritime industry sector, ± 4000 hectares land area already prepared for maritime industry. Dependency shipbuilding industries on steel industry are extremely high, 80-90% of ships total weight are steel. Steel is the most recyclable material it means ships are contain lots of steel that can be recycled to prevent the using of unrenewable virgin material in producing steel for create sustainable future. The sustainable concept to shipbuilding industry can increase competitiveness of a shipyard and increase opportunity to reach new market. Furthermore in this research will discussing on establishing ship recycling to provision of recycled steel as raw material and observed the correlation this scenario impact for increasing regional GDP. Maritime industries are involving various supporting industries that made maritime industries become a complex industrial estates, therefore this research choose dynamic system analysis to formulate linkage between each parties for establishing the appropriate policy for development sustainable maritime industry. |
